Of wealth and poverty

My recent inactivity from the "old world" has taken me to a simple conclusion.

Honesty is a privilege of the ones who have nothing to lose or just don't care.

Since the second part of the statement is highly unlikely for the social being... I would stick to the shorter version.

Along comes an irony. Affluent people - in material, intellect or love - are most unlikely to make sacrifices. Cold honesty is a privilege. And along her come the long lost aspirations of the optimistically naive, our children. Responsibilities are the excuses we make behind their back.
